What might be possible if, together we practiced weekly listening to ourselves, to our neighborhoods, and to the living nature of NYC?

What would our city’s ecosystem have to share with us?

Hi, I’m Alex—a certified Eco-Spiritual Guide, ICF Life + Leadership coach, Improv-&-Clowning-loving Brit who’s called NYC home for the past 9 years.

Root & Rewild is a 3-month journey for New Yorkers who want to feel more connected—to nature, themselves, and a like-hearted community.

In a time of climate & global crisis, disconnection, online anxious bubbles and constant distraction, it’s easy to feel cut off and fragmented. This is your invitation to slow down, listen, and come home to the whole of yourself and the living world around you.

To rewild is to remember what we’ve forgotten: our innate connection to presence, intuition, instinct, imagination, creativity & relationship with nature. (Just like kids!)

Over three months, we’ll gather once a month in NYC’s wild spaces, invite you into weekly solo practices in your own neighborhood, and meet online to reflect and share. Together, we’ll nurture spaciousness, and a deeper relationship with nature—both around us and within us.

The wind between buildings, the tree on your corner, the ground beneath your feet—it’s all alive and ready to connect with you. Especially here in the city.

This isn’t a retreat or a class. There’s nothing to memorize or master. You’ll walk, notice, unlearn, remember and embody.

You are nature. You belong here.

We’ll co-create and shape this container together—guided by your voice and by the voices of NYC’s nature: your neighborhoods, your places, and the beings we meet along the way.

I can’t wait to discover what this city has to share with us, and to witness how it shapes each of us and what unfolds!

What’s included

  • X3 in-person NYC gatherings in nature

Gather for nature-based experiences that ground you in your body, awaken your senses, and deepen your connection to place.

Together, we’ll choose landscapes that call to us as a group!

  • Online intimate Community Circle

A small, intimate Zoom circle on the weeks we don’t meet in person, to share reflections from our solo weekly wanders in nature.

Offering one another the gift of being witnessed.

This deepens our experiences, insights and relationships to the living beings woven throughout the city.

  • Weekly Nature Invitations in the city

Creative and practical invitation prompts sent weekly to guide and deepen your solo wanders, imaginal journaling, or rituals in your own places, neighborhoods or city parks. Align with the Earth’s cycles through moon ceremonies, elemental teachings, and seasonal practices for deeper balance.

  • Digital Resource Library

Recorded meditations, earth-based prayers, nature rituals, journal prompts, and elemental practices to use at home or outside. This can support you at your own pace or accompany you on solo walks to help you deepen presence.

Who is this for?

This journey is for you if…

  • Feel drawn to (or curious about) spending weekly time connecting to nature—right here in the city.

  • Want to slow down, create more spaciousness, and connect with yourself offline, your body and what’s most alive within & around you.

  • Can commit 2 hours a week (this includes a minimum 30-minute nature walk & our weekly online circle to reflect and integrate).

  • Want to reconnect with your creativity, heart, creativity, and imagination.

  • Are looking for a steady weekly rhythm that supports you in everyday life—not just on retreat.

  • Crave real community—where you can share honestly, be witnessed, and go deeper than small talk.

What you don’t need to be:

  1. You don’t need to be “outdoorsy” or know anything about ecology or nature.

  2. You don’t need to be a serious ecologist, environmentalist, spiritual, intuitive, healer, or part of any religious or specific earth based lineage or spiritual tradition.

All you need is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to listen—to yourself, the city, and the mysteries we can’t name.

What This Is Not

  • Not a course to learn nature facts or grow your ecology vocabulary. This is not a big brain school.

  • Not about getting it “right” or filling your head with more information.

  • Not an escape from life—but a way to live more fully in it and hold capacity for the paradox of life.

  • Not about fixing or achieving—rather rooting, listening, embodying, sensing, and remembering.

It’s a space for weekly encounters with nature, personal reflection, and connection to your place.

Flowers don’t need to be smart to bloom. They need soil, water, sunlight—and mystery.
So do you.

Meet Alex

ICF certified coach, life coach, leadership coach & consultant, & certified Eco-Spiritual Guide with 15+ years of professional experience.

Hi, I’m Alex—a Wild Guide, Life & Leadership Coach, and improv & clowning-loving Brit living in Manhattan for over 9 years now!

The Earth is aching for reconnection.

And so are we. We’re not meant to walk alone.

Many of us long to feel more connection—to each other, to ourselves, and to nature, not just as a metaphor, but as a living presence woven into our daily lives.

During the pandemic, nature became my lifeline—the tree outside my fire escape became my sanctuary, daily sunsets by the Hudson River, a bird circling above 8th Avenue. These weren’t just moments of beauty; they were sacred encounters and relationships that held my grief, opened my heart, and taught me how to give and receive more love.

That path led me into years of deep practice with the Center for Wild Spirituality, where I became a certified Eco-Spiritual Wild Guide and served in supporting the founder & building of organization & the two-year Seminary of the Wild Earth program. Alongside exploring my ancestral Celtic roots in the wild landscapes of Ireland over two summers, but my greatest teacher has been the natural world here in New York City!

In the parks, by the Hudson river, and on quiet streets with sunlight streaming through, I’ve found sanctuary and conversation—with trees on my block, rabbits in Central Park, the ocean in brighten beach for moon ceremonies, and even the wind between sirens.

These encounters remind me we are already part of a great web of belonging. We don’t have to earn connection—we can learn to notice, listen, and remember.

That’s the invitation I offer: guided nature experiences, coaching, and playful wonder—spaces where you can remember what your body, soul, and the Earth already know.

Because nature isn’t “out of the city.”

She’s here, waiting for you to connect.

And your deepest guide back to your most whole, authentic, alive, and aligned self is your own relationship with the living world—both around you and within you.

I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
